World Responsible Tourism Day
Inspira Santa Marta Hotel will mark WRTD with a documentary showcase on sustainable and responsible tourism.
This year, Inspira Santa Marta Hotel will celebrate World Responsible Tourism Day with a documentary cycle that highlights some of the best and worst practices of an increasingly expanded tourism industry. As usual, the Lisbon Boutique hotel takes the leading role on the approach of this topic, opening the discussion on the need of a true sustainable tourism, which this hotel always supported.
On November 4th, the hotel will open the doors of its theatre room for two cinema sessions, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, with the exhibition of three documentaries each. The morning session will start at 10am and in the afternoon the documentaries will be featured at 2pm.
Once again, Inspira Santa Marta Hotel stands out with this breakthrough initiative, intended to grow awareness within local community and guests. The sessions will be open to public, free of charge. This project brings together the importance of cultural promotion and the emergence of a sustainable and responsible tourism. Besides, it is also a great opportunity to welcome all the people who don’t know the hotel’s facilities yet and never enjoyed the comfort of this “movie theatre”.
The World Responsible Tourism Day is celebrated since 2002, when 20 countries attended Cape Town Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations and signed a declaration in responsible tourism.
